Hong Kong, MINA – Myanmar defeated Timor-Leste with two perfect headers in a 2026 FIFA ASEAN Cup Division 2 match on Thursday evening.
Playing at Mong Kok Stadium in Hong Kong, the Asian Lions took the lead in the first half through a header by Win Naing Tun (10) in the 19th minute, following a precise delivery from Hein Htet Aung (19) off a corner kick.
Myanmar’s second goal came from a perfect header by captain Than Paing (9) in the 75th minute, connecting with a pinpoint cross from the left flank of Timor-Leste’s territory.
In the second half, Timor-Leste managed several shots on target, but all were thwarted by goalkeeper Zin Nyi Nyi Aung (23).
