Gaza, MINA – Egypt, Qatar, and Türkiye, acting as mediating countries, condemned Israel’s continued violations in the Gaza Strip, particularly attacks on health facilities and the killing and wounding of civilians, including women and children.

In a joint press statement on Monday evening, the mediators said these violations constitute a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

They stressed the need for Israel to comply with all its obligations under international law and fully honor its commitments under the ceasefire agreement.

The statement said the continuation of these violations constitutes a breach of the agreement and undermines efforts to implement its second phase, especially after Hamas and Palestinian factions announced their approval of the roadmap, particularly regarding the restriction of weapons.

The mediators warned that Israel’s violations threaten the de-escalation track and deepen the suffering of civilians in the Gaza Strip.

They called for full protection for civilians, medical facilities and humanitarian workers, and for the unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid and medical supplies to all parts of the enclave.

The mediators also urged the international community to assume its responsibilities and apply the necessary pressure on Israel to meet its obligations under international law and the ceasefire agreement.

They said this is necessary to ensure the completion of US President Donald Trump’s peace plan, noting that Trump described the consensus reached on the roadmap for the second phase as a “historic agreement.”

The mediators stressed the need to prevent any undermining of efforts to achieve sustainable calm, leading to a permanent ceasefire and an end to the humanitarian suffering in Gaza.[]
