Jakarta, MINA – A new solidarity hub for Palestine was officially launched in Jakarta on Friday, as the Asia Pacific Coalition for Quds and Palestine (APCQP) opened its headquarters at Wisma Khadimul Ummah, MUI Central Office.
APCQP President Prof. Dr. Sudarnoto Abdul Hakim said the office will serve as a coordination center for humanitarian movements across the Asia Pacific region in support of Quds and Palestine.
“We hope this place becomes a node that connects, strengthens, and expands grassroots movements in the Asia Pacific for Palestine. Our focus includes advocacy, education, strengthening the Sumud Flotilla movement, and building cross-sectoral and cross-border solidarity networks,” he said.
He stressed that the coalition’s deeper goal is to build a genuine fraternal bond between Asia Pacific communities and the people of Gaza. “Solidarity should not stop at aid and sympathy. It must grow into real and lasting people-to-people relationships between Asia Pacific communities and the people of Gaza,” Sudarnoto said, speaking before coalition members, leaders of pro-Palestine philanthropic organizations, media figures, Palestinian scholars, and other guests.

He also noted growing global interest in the Palestinian cause, with activists from Central and South Asia expressing interest in joining the coalition. On Gaza reconstruction, Sudarnoto asserted that it should be led by the Muslim world, not by the colonizers or the United States.
“We hope this marks a turning point where we continue to stand guard and take responsibility for the Palestinian issue. We will always stand with the Palestinian diaspora, including those here in Indonesia,” he added.[]
