PALESTINIAN FACTIONS HOLD A MARCH DEMANDING THE LIBERATION OF AL AQSA

      Jakarta, 29 Rajab 1434 / June 8, 2013 (MINA) – All Palestinian factions along with thousands of local residents held a march along Gaza Strip, demanding the liberation of Al-Quds and Palestine.

      The action is the form of Global March to Jerusalem (GMJ) led by ministers, members of parliament and leaders of Palestinian factions coincides with the commemoration of 46th of annexation of Al-Quds from the Zionist occupation since 1967.

        The mass action began after Friday sermons started from Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza Strip. People from other areas arrived by bus, Alray media reported, as monitored by MINA (Mi’raj News Agency) here.

       “We have to protect Al-Quds from the occupation and Judaization efforts,” said Dr. Halbiyah Abu Ahmed, the chairman of GMJ Local Organizing Committee.

       According to Abu Ahmed, Islamic activists must move faster to face the Israeli Judaization in Al Quds.

       “Arabs and all Muslims society must be united against the Judaization that tries to eliminate the values of Islam in Al-Quds and surroundings,” he said.

        He warned the Arab world that are now seemed to keep silent and to give greater opportunity to Zionist Israel in dismantling Al-Aqsa mosque and replace with their temples.

        Palestinian activist Sheikh Kamal Khatib stated that the global mass action is an internationally effort to voice the liberation of Al-Aqsa Mosque and the independence of Palestine.

Actions Outside  Palestine

        According to the information from the general director of GMJ Dr. Ribhi Haloum received by MINA, GMJ 7 Juni 2013 held in more than 86 capitals and cities all over  the world.

        However, in some European countries, the action was not widely covered by media.

        “There are only a few media which reported GMJ actions. Many of them said that it was the day off. Many media does not write anything about the event, “said pro-Palestinian activists in Netherlands.

      In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia many activists held GMJ Meeting themed “Fund for Al-Quds”.

      Haris Bain, in Al-Quds TV interview said the residents who do GMJ action driven by faith that the holy Al-Quds is owned by Muslims.

      “We feel their pain, and the action is  a symbol of support from Malaysian Muslims,” he said.

       Similar mass action in Norway was opened by film screening shows of Al-Quds, They also spread brochures about the importance of keeping the holy city.

       In Indonesia, MINA reported GMJ actions were organized by Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) in some cities. Among others Aqsa Working Group (AWG) Pekalongan Central Java, Muhammadiyah Students Association in Metro, Lampung, Teachers and Students Community in East Aceh and so on. (T/P04/E1).
