Assistant II to the Aceh Regional Secretary, Zulkifli, said during a coordination meeting on Wednesday that widespread infrastructure damage continues to hinder relief efforts.

“Damage to public facilities is extensive. More than 77,000 homes are destroyed, and many offices, schools, roads, and bridges have been severely damaged due to the floods and landslides,” Zulkifli said.

Aceh currently has around 22,771 tons of remaining logistical supplies ready for distribution to evacuation sites and isolated areas.

“There are still about 22,711 tons of logistics stored at various points. These must be distributed immediately, especially to locations that have not received any assistance. If air transport is needed, the Air Force Base post is prepared to support,” he added.
