EGYPT’S MUFTI IS OUTRAGED BY THE DESECRATION OF THE AQSA MOSQUE BY ISRAELI FORCES
Kairo, 22 Dzulqa’dah 1435/6 September 2015 (MINA) – The grand mufti of Egypt, Dr.Shawki Allam, has vehemently condemned the Israeli settlers storm of the Aqsa mosque, with the support of the Israeli occupation forces and attacking people praying therein.
This attack, which left tens injured and others suffocated by the tears gas bombs, marked an annual day of commemorating the destruction of two ancient temples claimed to have once stood at the holy site, Dar Alifta of Egypt quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.
In his statement, Dr.Allam stated that these actions committed by the settlers and Israeli occupation forces represent a plain challenge and clear provocation to the feelings of Muslims and entire Arabs not only in Palestine but across the world.
The grand mufti criticized the silence of the international community towards the repeated continuous Israeli attacks against the Aqsa mosque and the Palestinians.
In conclusion, Dr.Shawki called upon the Arab and Muslim countries, the international community and international authorities to interfere to stop theses provocative actions and continious attacks against the holy sites in Jerusalem.
And he renewed his call to the Palestinian sects to reunite and stand firmly in face of theses immature actions.(T/R05/R04)
