Fulham vs Newcastle United: Jacob Murphy’s Rocket Shot Breaks the Deadlock

London, MINA – Fulham and Newcastle United played to a goalless first half in their 2026/27 Premier League Matchweek 10 encounter on Saturday.

Playing at Craven Cottage in London, Newcastle thought they had scored in the 33rd minute, but Dan Burn’s (33) goal was disallowed due to an offside infringement.

In the second half, Newcastle threatened first through a shot by Harvey Barnes (11), but the ball struck the outside of the goalpost.

In the 55th minute, a long-range effort from Sander Berge (16) nearly gave Fulham the lead, but the ball went just wide of the post.

Tension flared in the 74th minute when Sander Berge went down inside the Newcastle penalty area; however, the referee did not deem it a foul.

In the 79th minute, Jacob Murphy (23) broke the deadlock with a rocket of a shot from outside the penalty area, sending the ball into the back of the Fulham net.

The score shifted to 0-1 in favor of Newcastle.

However, just minutes later, Fulham responded through a goal from Rodrigo Muniz (9). The substitute’s deft touch successfully beat goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek.

The score leveled at 1-1.

In the 90+2nd minute, goalkeeper Hornicek produced a brilliant save, flying through the air to parry away a powerful strike from a Fulham player.

The draw stood as the final result when the referee blew the full-time whistle.
