Beirut, MINA- The Israeli occupation army announced Monday that Reserve Sergeant First Class Alexander Globinev, 47, was killed after an explosive drone launched by Hezbollah struck a military site near the Manara settlement, close to the Lebanese border.
Globinev, from Petah Tikva, served as a driver in Battalion 6924 of the Military Transport Center within Israel’s Technology and Logistics Division. He was transporting heavy equipment when the drone hit.
Israeli military estimates said Hezbollah launched four explosive-laden drones toward the area.
The killing comes amid escalating Hezbollah drone operations targeting Israeli forces in southern Lebanon and border regions. Last week, another Israeli soldier was seriously wounded in Naqoura following a similar drone attack.

Following the strike, Israeli forces launched new attacks on southern Lebanon. Warplanes targeted the town of Yahmar al-Shaqif, while artillery shelling struck the outskirts of Mefdoun, Kfar Tebnit, and Nabatieh al-Fouqa.
Israeli media described growing anxiety within military and political circles over Hezbollah’s drone capabilities. One outlet called Hezbollah’s drone campaign an “Israeli nightmare.”
Hezbollah announced it had targeted Israeli forces for the third time in the Baydar al-Faqani area near Taybeh using an explosive drone.[]
