Beirut, MINA – Lebanon’s Ministry of Health said on Wednesday that the death toll from the Israeli offensive on the country has risen to 2,167 since March 2, the Palestine Information Center reports.
In its daily report, the ministry confirmed that the number of people injured in the Israeli attacks has reached 7,061 since the same date.
For the eighth consecutive day, the Israeli army continues its intense strikes on Lebanon, despite a two-week truce announced on April 8 by the United States and Iran, which Iran and Pakistan said includes Lebanon. However, Washington and Tel Aviv have denied this.
This comes a day after direct talks were held in Washington, the first of their kind in 43 years, between Lebanon and Israel.
