Tel Aviv, MINA – An Iranian missile strike struck the northern Israeli city of Haifa, injuring at least 11 people and causing significant damage to residential buildings, according to Israeli medical and military sources.
Reports cited by Jaridah Al-Quds on Monday said the missile hit a seven-story building in the Carmel area, triggering a large-scale emergency response. Rescue teams and ambulances were quickly deployed to the scene.
Israel’s Health Ministry confirmed that all injured victims were taken to hospitals, with one person reported in serious condition. Emergency crews continued searching through the debris amid concerns that others may still be trapped under the rubble.
Air raid sirens were activated across several border areas at the time of the strike, warning residents of possible additional threats, including drone incursions or further missile attacks.

In Tehran, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed responsibility, stating that the strike targeted an oil refinery in Haifa. The group described the facility as a key supplier of fuel for Israeli military aircraft and claimed that critical sections were damaged.
The IRGC said the attack was part of the 96th phase of its “True Promise 4” operation, which it frames as retaliation for recent U.S. and Israeli actions. It also stated that coordinated naval and air operations had targeted economic and energy interests linked to U.S. companies across the region.
Since the escalation of direct confrontation over the past month, Israeli authorities have imposed wide-ranging restrictions, including suspending schools, limiting economic activity, and expanding access to public shelters.
The Israeli military confirmed that the missile directly struck a residential building in Haifa, causing extensive destruction. Nearby infrastructure and parked vehicles were also heavily damaged.

Israeli media reported that air defense systems attempted to intercept the incoming missiles, but at least one evaded interception and hit its target, raising concerns about the system’s effectiveness under sustained attack.
Iran also indicated that its broader operations included strikes targeting energy infrastructure in the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Kuwait, countries that host facilities linked to U.S. interests.
Tehran described the attacks as retaliation for earlier strikes attributed to Washington and Tel Aviv on infrastructure and petrochemical facilities inside Iran teritory.[]
