Gaza, MINA – Israel continued to close all Gaza border crossings for the tenth consecutive day on Monday, exacerbating an already severe humanitarian crisis after two years of genocide and amid a fragile ceasefire.
As reported by Quds News Network (QNN), the closures have left more than two million Palestinians facing dire conditions.
The closures include the Rafah crossing between Gaza and Egypt, which was only reopened in early February.
Human Rights Watch stated in a February report that Israeli aid restrictions continue to cause shortages of medicine, reconstruction equipment, food, and water inside the Gaza Strip.

Israel’s COGAT (Community Action Agency) argued that the food delivered to Gaza since the beginning of the ceasefire has been sufficient to meet the needs of four times the population. However, COGAT provided no evidence for its claim.
The statement noted that “existing supplies are expected to be sufficient for an extended period.”
The statement also announced that humanitarian staff rotations to Gaza would be suspended, raising concerns among aid groups already struggling to maintain their operations in Gaza. []
