Gaza, MINA – The Israeli occupation army launched a new wave of airstrikes and artillery attacks on areas across the northern and southern Gaza Strip, violating the fragile ceasefire that has been in place under a US-brokered agreement.
Witnesses told Anadolu that Israeli forces conducted intense airstrikes in the western parts of Rafah in southern Gaza, while artillery simultaneously targeted eastern neighborhoods. Israeli gunboats also opened fire toward Khan Younis, sparking panic among displaced civilians sheltering in the area.
In northern Gaza, the Israeli military carried out demolition operations inside the Shujaiya neighborhood, east of Gaza City, accompanied by heavy drone activity across the district’s airspace.
These attacks took place despite a ceasefire agreement that went into effect on Oct. 10 as part of US President Donald Trump’s plan, which sought to halt two years of Israeli military operations that have killed more than 70,000 Palestinians—mostly women and children—and injured nearly 171,000 others since October 2023.

According to a statement issued Tuesday by the Gaza Government Media Office, Israel committed 738 ceasefire violations over the past 60 days. These included direct gunfire and shelling toward civilians and residential homes, destruction of civilian infrastructure, and raids on populated neighborhoods using military vehicles.
The statement added that Israel’s “systematic violations” resulted in the deaths of 386 civilians and injuries to 980 others, along with 43 unlawful arrests.
The media office also criticized Israel for severely restricting humanitarian aid and fuel entering the enclave. It reported that only 226 aid trucks entered Gaza daily—far below the required minimum of 600 set under the ceasefire terms. Likewise, just five fuel trucks were allowed in each day out of the 50 stipulated in the agreement, causing major disruption to hospitals, bakeries, water stations, and sewage systems.
The Gaza Government Media Office urged President Trump and other mediators to uphold their legal and moral obligations and pressure Israel to honor its commitments to prevent further deterioration of Gaza’s humanitarian crisis.[]
