Jakarta, 27 Jumadil Awwal 1437 | 6 Maret 2016 (MINA) – Indonesian Police cooperated with National Army set up a air line evacuation strategy for the delegations of OIC member countries in case of security threats or violence.

They also prepared a rescue squad from Presidential Guard who are working during disturbances assisted by other supported teams.

The team consists of army, navy and air force equipped with armored vehicles. They are ready to work in a short time if any disturbances happened.

Colonel Berlin said, Paspampres be attached to secure the VVIP guests who participated in the Extraordinary OIC Summit to the implementation of the summit finish at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC), Senayan.

” Presidential Guard always accopmpany the delegations ranging from their arrival at the airport, accommodation until their return,” said Berlin.

National Army and the Police will also secure the points (roads) which the group VIP and VVIP guests take through.

Colonel Berlin pointed, the number of Presidential Guard have already at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport as one unit of platoon rank ( about 60 people), and the security forces consisted of two units of company rank ( about 270 people) from the army and police.

So far, he said, the security situation ahead of the event on Sunday and Monday is still favorable. “Hopefully, the implementation of the OIC Extraordinary Summit runs smoothly,” he said.

Until now, Berlin said, there were five VVIP officials who arrived in Jakarta to attend the Extraordinary Summit of the OIC.

Fifth official VVIP namely the President of Gambia Yahya Jammeh and five delegations through Soekarno-Hatta, Chairman of the State Council of Oman Yahya bin Mahfouz Mundhiri, Qatari Prime Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, President of Algeria Abdelaziz Bouteflika and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

The Prince of Jordan, the President of Sudan, the President of Yemen and the President of Pakistan will arrive at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport, East Jakarta, on Sunday. (LP/R03/R04)
