US Condemns Attack at Mosque in Pakistan

Washington, 15 Dzulhijjah 1437/17 September 2016 (MINA) – The US condemned the suicide bomb attack against a mosque in Pakistan during Friday prayers which killed at least 25 people, KUNA reported.

The attack “is an appalling reminder that terrorism threatens all countries in the region, and we send our deepest condolences to the loved ones of those killed as well as our thoughts and prayers to those injured,” said National Security Council Spokesperson Ned Price in a statement.

The US will work with the Pakistani government and stands against the “scourge of terrorism,” Price affirmed.

This is the second suicide blast in Pakistan in less than a week.
