Solo, MINA – Persis Solo hosted Semen Padang in Week 27 of the 2025/2026 BRI Super League at Manahan Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

This match was no ordinary match. Both teams were fighting to escape the increasingly tight relegation zone.

Persis currently sits in 16th place with 21 points. They are only two points away from safety, their primary target.

On the other hand, Semen Padang is closely following in 17th place with 20 points.

Persis Solo coach Milomir Seslija implemented a 4-3-3 formation, while Semen Padang coach Imran Nahumaru relied on a 4-3-3 formation.

The visitors put pressure on the home team

In the first half, the visitors were able to apply pressure on the home team, who were playing in heavy rain and without spectators.

In the 12th minute, the Kabau Sirah squad had a golden opportunity, but goalkeeper Muhammad Riyandi (1) made a brilliant save, denying it.

However, two minutes later, Sambernyawa Troops finally scored through a shot by Miroslav Maricic (88) from a tight angle.
