Mogadishu, 18 Dzulhijjah 1437/19 Se ptember 2016 (MINA) – The UAE Embassy in Somalia has overseen the distribution of sacrificial meat donated by the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC)and the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Humanitarian and Charity Establishment to more than 4,500 underprivileged families during the three-day Eid Al-Adha.
Directed by Ambassador of the UAE, Mohammed Ahmed Al Hammadi, the embassy purchased the sacrificial animals from local markets.
Yemeni refugee families, widows and people with special needs were among the recipients of the assistance, WAM reported on Sunday..
Both the beneficiaries and Somali officials thanked the UAE and its humanitarian agencies.
