SUDANESE AMBASSADOR: INDONESIAN MUSLIMS POTENTIAL TO LEAD THE WORLD

        Bandar Lampung, 17 Muharram 1435/21 November 2013 (MINA) – Sudanese Ambassador to Indonesia Abd al-Rahim al-Siddiq said Muslims in Indonesia has a huge potential to lead the world as seen by its muslim scholars leverage.

       “In Indonesia, Islam developed as the leader of the people, whereas in other countries generally  by its government policy,” Al-Siddiq said in the Grand Launching of Shuffah Al-Quran Online Abdullah bin Mas’ud (SQ-ABM), Lampung on Tuesday (19/11).

       The potential will be stronger concurrently with the power of taking the holy Al-Quran as  a complete rule of Muslims life, he added

       “Prophet Muhammad and his companions led  the glory of Islam in the past  by taking Qu’ran as  their guide,” he stressed.

       He pointed out that the Islam civilization setbacks was caused by its believers who started to leave the holy guidance as well as Al-Hadith away behind.

        On that occasion, the Ambassador  granted Arabic tafseer literatures for the Al-Qur’an new school, SQ-ABM. In addition,  he  provided scholarships for those who graduates from the Al-Fatah boarding school  to continue to study in university in Sudan.

        Present at the Grand Launching of SQ-ABM, Secretary of the Palestinian Ambassador to Indonesia Mahmoud Neil, Expert Staff of the Ministry of Forestry Industry Revitalization  Sansoto Bejo, Head of Sub Directorate of boarding school Mamat Salamat Burhanuddin, delegation of Lampung governorates Elya Muchtar, General Manager of PT Telkom in Lampung, as well as other scholars, locals, and media.(L/P03/E1)
