Al-Quds, MINA – Extremist Israeli settlers entered the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in Occupied Jerusalem on Thursday and performed Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli security forces, according to the Palestine Information Center.
According to local Jerusalemite sources, a number of settlers carried out what is known as “epic prostration” in the eastern section of the compound, opposite the Dome of the Rock, during tours conducted under heavy Israeli police protection.
Al-Aqsa has witnessed a noticeable increase in settler incursions in recent months, often accompanied by Talmudic prayers, religious rituals, singing, and dancing inside its courtyards amid heightened Israeli security measures.
The developments come as Israeli authorities continue to impose restrictions on Palestinian worshippers seeking access to the mosque and expand policies banning Jerusalemite residents, worshippers, and mosque guardians from entering the site.

The escalation follows a month that saw a significant rise in the number of settlers entering the compound. A report issued by the Jerusalem Governorate stated that 7,244 settlers entered Al-Aqsa Mosque during May, in addition to 2,690 visitors who entered under the designation of tourism.
Those incursions were accompanied by unprecedented violations, including the introduction of ritual offerings into the mosque compound and the raising of Israeli flags inside its courtyards during Jewish religious holidays.
Observers said that the growing number of settler visits and the performance of Talmudic rituals inside the compound, alongside restrictions on Palestinian worshippers, reflect efforts to impose new realities at the site and in its surroundings. They also warned that such developments could further heighten tensions in Occupied Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, the preacher of Al-Aqsa Mosque, renewed his call for Palestinians to increase their presence at the mosque through prayer, religious study, and continuous attendance. He stressed that maintaining a permanent Palestinian presence at the site remains the strongest means of confronting attempts to alter the status quo at the holy compound.[]
