SCUD ATTACK IN ALEPPO KILLS 20

Aleppo, 18 Jumadil Awwal 1434/30 March 2013 (MINA) – At least 20 people were killed when a Scud missile landed in the northern cityof Aleppo .

Syrian General Revolutionary Council said on Friday (29/3) that the Scud missile, which landed on Hratan district of Aleppo, killed at least 20 people and wounded dozens, according to Anadolu Agency report monitored by Mi’raj News Agency (MINA).

Local sources in Aleppo said that the Scud missile led to the destruction of many homes and there were people under the rubble.  Sources said that the number of casualties may increase on Friday.

Meanwhile, two civilians were killed and another injured when gunmen opened fire on a passenger minibus with machine guns near Jdeidet Artouz – a suburb southwest of Damascus, Press TV reported.

Local officials said the attack took place on the al-Arbaeen Highway opposite police housing compounds. 

A medical source, speaking on condition of anonymity, said the bodies of a baby girl and a young man had arrived at the al-Muwasat Hospital in the district, adding that an injured person is receiving treatment at the hospital.
