Saudi Allows Qatari to Perform Hajj

Riyadh, MINA – Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has created a new web page for Qatari Muslims who want to do the Hajj this year.

According to Arabnews report on Thursday July 18, prospective pilgrims from Qatar can register, choose packages, and pay their hajj fees on the web page https://qh1440.haj.gov.sa.

Saudi ministry called on Qatar not to block web pages as they did before and work together to help its citizens perform the Hajj easily.

Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah also accused Qatari government of blocking the efforts of its citizens to perform the Hajj.

According to the ministry, a recent meeting with Qatari delegation to discuss logistics of pilgrims, the delegation even left without signing any agreement to allow access for its citizens.

Saudi Arabia is one of Arab countries to launch Qatar boycott in 2017 for the country’s support for extremist groups.

The embargo includes restrictions on transportation between Qatar and Saudi Arabia, but the Kingdom has taken steps to ensure that pilgrims from Qatar can freely perform Hajj and Umrah services. (T/Sj/P2)
