ROCKET LAUNCH ISSUE FROM GAZA MAZY

Gaza City, 10 Jumadil Awal 1434/22 March 2013 (MINA) – Up to now, the launch rockets issue from Gaza into Sderot region, southern Israel, still in a mazy.

According to correspondent of Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) in Gaza, Mohammed Hussein, until Thursday night (21/3) there is no official statement from the factions in Gaza that claimed the responsibility of the rocket launch.

“The issue is still confusing. So far, there is no statement regarding to the issue of launching rockets both from the Palestinian government and the factions in Gaza, ” Hussein said when was contacted on Friday morning (22/3) local time.

Hussein added that he would continue to monitor  accurating information related to the issue of launching rocket from Gaza which landed in southern Israel.

According to Israeli media sources, they accused Gaza have launched the rockets into Southern Israel in response to Obama’s visit. Israeli police said that two rockets had been launched into the area on Thursday (21/3).

Israeli police spokesman in Sderot, Micky Rosenfeld told AFP that the rockets were falling on its territory from Gaza. “There were no casualties but some damage in the attack on Sderot near the Gaza frontier. it is related to the U.S. president’s visit to our country,” said the spokesman.

Obama’s visited to Israel on Wednesday (20/3) after he was elected  as a president of the United States for the second time. This is his first overseas visit after taking the American elections in January 2013.

According to the plan, Obama to visit Israel, West Bank and Jordan for three days. But he does not plan to visit Gaza on the grounds of the area is still in control of Palestinian resistance movement, Hamas.

The accident happened when Obama was in Jerusalem, 80 km from Sderot, a few hours before he left to the Ramalah for the talks with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas.

Previously Israel has also accused the Palestinians launching rockets into its territory at the end of February 2013 ago, when the cease-fire protest of the Arafat Jaradat’s death, Palestinian prisoners who passed away in Israeli jails. (L/P02/P04/P03)
