Riyadh, 3 Jumadil Awwal 1435/4 March 2014 (MINA) – A copy of the Holy Qur’an remained intact after fire left a car totally charred in Saudi Arabia’s southern province of Jazan, according to a report in Sabq online newspaper.

“The driver told me that the car belongs to his father who always kept a copy of the Qur’an in it,” a Saudi man said, International Islamic News Agency (IINA) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

The man was driving in the area when he found a man next to his charred car.

The driver, according to the Saudi daily, was driving his car in southern Saudi province of Jazan when the car suddenly caught fire, prompting him to jump out.

The witness stopped by to check him and his car, finding out that a copy of the Noble Qur’an remained as the only intact object in the car which was destroyed totally by fire.

“When I looked into the charred car, I was stunned to see that everything was destroyed except the Qur’an, which remained intact,” he said.

“I decided to document this miracle with pictures by my mobile phone.”

The Qur’an is a revelation from God, the creator of the worlds, so He is the original author. The Muslims holy book consists of 114 Surah (chapters) of varying lengths. There is only one Qur’an which is in Arabic and many translations of the Qur’an in several languages.
