Sleman, MINA – PSBS Biak and PSIM Yogyakarta played to a 1-1 draw throughout the first half of the 23rd Super League match at Maguwoharjo Stadium, Sleman, Friday evening.
Mataram Troops scored the first goal in the 15th minute through a header from Franco Ramos Mingo (4).
The home team, Pasific Storm, then equalized through a goal by Eduardo Barbosa (20) in the 36th minute.

However, that hope was all but lost when Ze Valente (10) scored his second goal for PSIM Yogyakarta in the final minute of normal time. He capitalized on the cutback pass, firing into the corner of the net, beating goalkeeper Kadu.
The score was now 2-4 in favor of Mataram Troops.
Afterward, Ze Valente and his teammates opted to maintain possession without attempting to score again in injury time.
The referee confirmed PSIM Yogyakarta’s victory with his final whistle.
The three points lifted PSIM to sixth place in the standings. Meanwhile, PSBS Biak faces the threat of relegation if Persijap Jepara picks up a point in tomorrow’s match. []
