PRO-AQSA RALLIES FLARE UP ACROSS OCCUPIED PALESTINE

Umm Al-Fahm, 23 Dzulhijjah 1436/7 October 2015 (MINA) – A series of marches and rallies was staged on Monday evening across the 1948 Occupied Palestine in protest at Israeli violations and attacks on the holy al-Aqsa Mosque and Occupied Jerusalem.

Dozens of pro-Palestine activists and youth organizations joined a demo staged by the popular committee in the western Baqa city in support for the holy al-Aqsa Mosque and the peaceful Muslim congregation, The Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

Other rallies were held in Haifa and Nazareth to protest the Israeli government’s desecration of al-Aqsa Mosque and violations of Muslims’ freedom of worship.

The Israeli occupation troops reportedly attacked the rally-goers with tear gas canisters and stun grenades in an attempt to disband the demos.

Another round of marches and rallies kicked off in Shefa Amr city along with the towns of al-Be’na, al-Mashhad, and Nujeidat, where dozens of youths, village councils, and anti-Israel activists voiced their firm condemnation of Israeli aggressions on al-Aqsa and called for intensifying vigil in such a sacred place of worship.

The protesters slammed the silence maintained by the international community over Israel’s mounting terrorism on Muslims’ holy sites and freedom of worship.(T/P008/R03)
