President Jokowi Receives Kings and Sultans from Across Indonesia

Jakarta, MINA – President Joko Widodo, popularly known by his nickname Jokowi, received several kings and sultans from across Indonesia at the Bogor presidential palace, here, Thursday.

“This morning, I do not want to deliver a speech, but instead, I want to listen to what Your Excellencies — kings, sultans, princes, and queens — are going to tell us about your problems,” President Jokowi noted.

Attendees at the meeting with the president included 20 kings and sultans from Sumatra, 17 from Java, three from Bali, five from East Nusa Tenggara, four from West Nusa Tenggara, 10 from Kalimantan, 18 from Sulawesi, nine from Maluku, and two from Papua, according to Antara News.

The head of state was accompanied by Education and Culture Minister Muhadjir Effendy, Tourism Minister Arief Yahya, and Chief of the Presidential Staff Teten Masduki. (T/RS5/RS1)
