Jepara, MINA – Persijap Jepara hosted Persis Solo in Week 24 of the 2025/2026 Super League at Gelora Bumi Kartini Stadium, Jepara, on Thursday evening.
Both teams desperately needed a win, as Persijap, in 15th place, refused to fall back into the relegation zone, and Persis desperately wanted to move away from the bottom of the table.
Persijap coach Mario Lemos deployed a 4-2-3-1 formation, while Persis coach Milomir Seslija opted for a 4-1-3-2 formation.
The first half was a tense affair with no goals scored, with Kalinyamat Troops dominating possession.

The same situation prevailed in the second half. However, in the 50th minute, panic gripped the home team.
Jose Luis Espinosa Arroyo (Liri) was shown a red card for kicking Roman Paparyha (99) in the head while heading the ball.
However, a VAR review saved Liri. Referee Rio Permana Putra then overturned the red card and replaced it with a yellow. VAR footage showed Liri’s boot missed Paparyha’s face, but his foot was still too high.
However, in the 77th minute, Tiri (4) could not escape a red card after referee Rio conducted a second VAR check outside the field.

The footage highlighted was an incident where Liri brought down Paparyha (99) in front of the penalty box. Liri’s foot was recorded between Paparyha’s legs, who was dribbling the ball a few centimeters forward.
Referee Rio then gave Liri a second yellow card, followed by a red card.
Persijap Jepara then played with ten men.
Despite their numerical advantage, Sambernyawa Troops were unable to capitalize on their advantage by scoring. Abu Kamara (4) even missed a golden opportunity in injury time when he was challenged by goalkeeper Muhammad Ardiansyah (1).

Meanwhile, Persis Solo, despite remaining in the relegation zone, has pushed Semen Padang to the bottom of the standings with 17 points, but a superior goal difference. []
