Jerusalem, 1 Jumaddal Akhir 1436/21 March 2015 (MINA) – A group of Palestinian activists on Thursday morning (19/3) blocked a main road connecting the illegal Israeli settlement Ma’ale Adumim with occupied Jerusalem.

Coordinator for the popular resistance committees in the southern West Bank, Mohamed Muheisen, said Palestinian activists closed a road used by Jewish settlers and their vehicles near Ma’ale Adumim in response to Israel’s checkpoints and random makeshift roadblocks in the West Bank, Palestinian Information Center (PIC) quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporting.

The closure resulted in obstructing the traffic for some time, during which the protestors were able to raise Palestinian flags on the road before Israeli soldiers showed up and unblocked it, Muheisen added.

He asserted that the popular resistance in the West Bank would keep on devising non-violent ways to confront the Israeli occupation and its settlers, and thwart any move to impose new faits accomplis on the ground. (T/P006/P3)
