Karachi, 18 Rabi’ul Awwal 1437/29 December 2015 (MINA) – Four convicts involved in the deadly Peshawar school carnage were executed Tuesday inside a high security prison in northeastern Kohat district, officials said.

The gun-and-bomb attack in December 2014 had claimed over 140 lives, mostly students, Anadolu Agency quoted by Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) as reporing.

“Murad Khan, Noor Saeed, Israrullah, and Inayatullah Khan have been executed in Kohat jail this morning,” an interior ministry official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, told Anadolu Agency.

The convicts had been handed down the death penalty by a military court in August. Their plea against the conviction and mercy petition was rejected by the country’s supreme court and president. (T/P010/R03)
