Multiple Rockets Fired Overnight towards Eilat

Eilat, 11 Jumadil Awwal 1438/9 February 2017 (MINA) – Several rockets from the Sinai in Egypt were fired by an unknown group at the southern Israeli city of Eilat, according to different Israeli media outlets.

The Israeli army said its Iron Dome missile defense system intercepted three rockets headed for Eilat late Wednesday night, while a fourth fell in an open area,, the Palestinian Information Center (PIC) reported.

As result, sirens were sounded shortly before 11:00 pm and residents in the city reported hearing explosions immediately after the alarms.

There were no damages, but four people suffered traumas and received medical assistance.

Earlier on Wednesday evening, a tank projectile from Syria landed in an open area in the Occupied Golan Heights.
