“It is an important problem that should be overcome immediately, “said Ghasain in press   conference at the Office of Information Ministry in Gaza City, Saturday (20 september).

Ghasain along with spokesman of Home Ministry , Ayad al-Bazem asserted, majority of immigrants came out through Rafah border officially, Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA) correspondent in Gaza reported.

Ghasain added, there were few illegal immigrants who cross through tunnels, although Egyptians have destroyed the tunnels.

He also revealed that, Egyptian authority has shut the tunnel and arrested the owner since a few weeks ago.

Ghasain stated, continuing blockade of Gaza Strip since eight years ago was main cause of economic decline and rising unemployment in Gaza. Moreover the blockade intensified during the last two years. It caused many Gazans going out of the enclave looking for work.

“Israel and its allies must be responsible for the blockade,” he added.

Ghasain regreted the international community who keep silent on the blockade. According to him, opening Rafah border fully would facilitate life of Gazans and improve economy and development.

He asked Arab countries to provide assistance and security for Palestinians who become refugees in the Arab countries. He hoped, they provided employment opportunities for refugees until the end of occupation.

He regretted statements of a few people who try to exploit this issue for political interest. Why they did not work together to find solutions and alleviate sufferings of Gazans. Though living conditions of Gazans was difficult and hard they could defeat enemy.

According to him , many Gazans returned to his homeland despite in difficult condition. (T/K01/K03/P009/P3).
