MAPIM Condemns Israeli Attack on Palestine

Putrajaya, MINA – Malaysian Islamic Association Negotiations Council (MAPIM) condemned the Israeli attack which left dozens of Palestinians dead and hundreds injured.

“We condemn the Israeli cowardly attack in Gaza, Palestine which killed to date more than 20 people and hundreds injured, most of whom were children,” MAPIM President Mohd Azmi Abdul Hamid said in a written statement received by MINA on Thursday 14 November.

“We also condemn the killing of the family of Islamic Jihad Commander Baha Abu Al-Atta with his family in Israeli air strikes,” he said.

MAPIM urged that the world could not remain silent watching the Israeli random attack on homes targeting Palestinian civilians.

“Until now there has been an increase in air strikes by Israel which is seen as a political war by Benjamin Netanyahu to investigate its damaged image in Israeli domestic politics at this time,” he said.

According to him, politics in Israel has always been linked to attacks on the Gaza Strip. Aggressive military operations against Gaza are an inseparable part of political campaigns in Israel.

“This is a fact that every time there is an attack by Israel, Palestinians will take many casualties,” Mohd Azmi said

Gaza has lost hundreds of lives in the Great Return March intentionally killed by Israeli snipers.

“Now again, with random air strikes on besieged Gaza, civilians have always been the target of Israeli military attacks,” he said.

MAPIM calls on the United Nations to intervene to protect civilians in Gaza, because targeting civilians is under UN authority.

“Gaza remains a killing field for Israel. “The world community must respond violently to stop Israel from continuing its slaughter,” he added. (T/Ais/P2
