JASA EKATAMA COMMITTED TO FINISH THE ESTABLISHMENT OF INDONESIA HOSPITAL IN GAZA

        Jakarta, 25 Shawwal 1434/1 September 2013 (MINA) – President Director of FIM Jasa Ekatama, Ichsan Thalib, expressed his commitment to finish the establishment of Rumah Sakit Indonesia (Indonesian hospital) in Gaza, Palestine.

        “We are from PT. FIM Jasa Ekatama and we have a determination to finish the establishment of Indonesia Hospital in Gaza, Palestine and MER–C’s Hospital in Galela, Maluku. Our commitment to this struggle is very clear. Through a charity concert in Jakarta Malay Festival we submit two houses at approximately three billion rupiah for Rumah Sakit Indonesia in Gaza and one of Mer-C hospital in Galela ,” Ichsan Thalib told Mi’raj News Agency (MINA) reporter.

         Submission of two housing units for the construction of two hospitals was done symbolically by Ichsan Thalib at a concert in Jakarta , Friday ( 30/8 ) .

         Meanwhile, the event promoter Geisz Chalifah said that a number of donations that have been submitted including the result of tickets selling will be handed over to a humanitarian organization Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER – C) as the initiator of RSI Gaza and MER-C Galela.

         According to him, there were a historical relationship between Indonesia, Palestine, and Egypt. The Malay concert is part of tribute to Egypt and Palestine which were the countries that recognized Indonesia’s independence in the earlier stage.

        “The concert was derived from the spirit of Indonesia’s independence , and the Indonesian independence was first recognized by Egypt and then by Palestine, and we expressed appreciation to Egypt and Palestine through the charity concert ,” said Geisz Chalifah .

         Then according Geisz , he wanted to promote the Malay culture of Indonesia that has been forgotten, excluded , not appreciated , and do not get an award.

          He expected with this kind of step hopefully the media and activists began to open their eyes that there is something worth to be struggled, as the identity of Indonesia .

         The Malay Music Concert was performed by many singers from Indonesia and Malaysia, among them are; Sulis Iyeth Bustami, Hamdan ATT, Fuad Balfas, Emma Lopez, Fahad Munif, Hendri Lamiri, Butong, Abdullah Mustafa , Nizar Ali and L’ Catraz Band.

         The committee of Jakarta Malay Festival plan to hold this concert once a year to encourage appreciation of Indonesian culture. (T/P05/E1) .
