Jakarta, MINA – Jama’ah Muslimin (Hizbullah) has declared that the first day of Ramadan 1447 H falls on Wednesday.
Imaam Yakhsyallah Mansur made the determination based on reports from the Falak Observation Center (POF) which received information that the hilal was sighted in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and Yemen on Tuesday afternoon.
In his sermon, Imaam Yakhsyallah Mansur stated that determining the beginning of Ramadan is part of the responsibility to guide Muslims in performing their worship during the month of Ramadan based on the Quran and Sunnah.
The announcement was made following the Isbat Session for the Hilal Observation of Early Ramadan 1447 Hijri at the Al-Fatah Islamic Boarding School in Cileungsi, Bogor, West Java, Tuesday evening.

The hilal observation by the POF Team was conducted on Tuesday afternoon, corresponding to the 29th of Sha’ban 1447 H, at several locations across Indonesia as part of the effort to sight the hilal in accordance with Islamic law.[]
