Al-Quds, MINA – Dozens of extremist Jewish settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound on Wednesday morning under police escort, conducting provocative tours and performing Talmudic rituals, including full prostration near the Dome of the Rock, while Muslim worshippers faced severe access restrictions, according to Palestine Information Center.
According to the Islamic Awqaf Administration, groups of settlers passed through the Maghariba Gate and toured the courtyards, receiving lectures from rabbis about the alleged Temple Mount.
Social media images showed settlers performing full prostration with their bodies pressed flat on the ground, particularly near the Dome of the Rock.
At the same time, Israeli police imposed tight movement and entry restrictions at the mosque’s gates, preventing many Muslim worshippers from reaching the holy site.[]
