Gaza, MINA – The Israeli occupation forces continued their pattern of ceasefire violations for the 142nd consecutive day on Monday, launching new airstrikes and artillery shelling across multiple areas of the Gaza Strip, according to local media sources, PIC reports.
Israeli warplanes carried out raids targeting the eastern areas of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza, as well as the eastern side of Deir al-Balah in the central region of the enclave. The aerial attacks were accompanied by heavy artillery barrages and gunfire from military vehicles.
Artillery shelling reportedly bombarded the eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City, including Zeitoun, Shuja’iya, and Tuffah, amid intense gunfire from Israeli military vehicles positioned near the areas.
Additional artillery attacks targeted areas east and north of the town of Beit Lahia in the northern Gaza Strip, further extending the scope of Monday’s military operations.

The latest violations come just one day after two Palestinian civilians were killed and several others injured in an Israeli artillery attack on Jabalia town in northern Gaza on Sunday. The deaths add to the mounting toll of what the Palestinian Health Ministry describes as ongoing Israeli aggression despite the formal ceasefire agreement.
Since the US-backed ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025, Israeli forces have committed hundreds of violations through continued shelling and gunfire. According to Gaza’s Health Ministry, at least 618 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,660 others injured during the ceasefire period alone.
The repeated breaches have raised serious questions about the durability of the truce agreement, which was intended to halt Israel’s two-year military offensive that has resulted in over 72,000 Palestinian deaths and widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure across the Gaza Strip.
International mediators have yet to issue statements addressing the escalating violations, which continue to claim Palestinian lives despite the formal cessation of large-scale hostilities. The persistent military actions threaten to unravel the fragile ceasefire and plunge the region back into full-scale conflict.[]
