Israeli Forces Demolish Homes, Shell Multiple Areas Across Gaza

Gaza, MINA – Israeli occupation forces continued shelling and demolishing homes and residential buildings across the Gaza Strip on Sunday, while also opening fire on multiple areas of the enclave. There were no immediate reports of casualties, according to Wafa.

Witnesses said Israeli forces carried out demolitions of residential buildings and civilian structures in southern Khan Younis, where other parts of the city also came under shelling and fire from tanks, drones and naval vessels.

In central Gaza, Israeli artillery shelled areas east of the Bureij refugee camp. Artillery fire also targeted eastern neighborhoods of Gaza City and areas surrounding the southern city of Rafah.

In northern Gaza, witnesses reported explosions east of Jabalia and in the al-Tuffah neighborhood northeast of Gaza City, while Israeli drones opened fire on several residential areas.

The Gaza Strip has been under intense Israeli military aggression since October 7, 2023. Israel aerial bombardment and ground offensive have caused unprecedented destruction across the densely populated enclave, with more than 73,000 Palestinians killed and over 90 percent of the population displaced, according to the Gaza Health Ministry and the United Nations.

The ongoing demolitions of homes and civilian infrastructure, even after a ceasefire agreement took effect in October 2025, have drawn sharp international condemnation.

Human rights organizations argue that the systematic destruction of residential areas amounts to collective punishment and may constitute war crimes under the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.

Despite repeated calls from the UN and other international bodies for a lasting ceasefire and accountability, Israeli military aggression have continued.[]
