Gaza, MINA – The Israeli occupation army continued its violations of the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip on Thursday, launching attacks on residential areas and deliberately targeting civilians.
According to Palestinian media sources, Israeli gunboats opened fire off the shores of Khan Yunis and Rafah in southern Gaza on Thursday morning, though no information about casualties has been reported yet.
In addition, Israeli warplanes conducted an airstrike targeting a site in the eastern areas of Khan Yunis. Israeli armored vehicles and tanks also opened fire in multiple directions in Rafah, located in the southern part of Gaza.
On Wednesday, the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) warned of the severe dangers posed by collapsing war-damaged buildings in Gaza amid current severe weather conditions. The organization stressed that such unstable structures endanger residents’ lives and contribute to rising casualties.

The ICRC noted that thousands of civilians are forced to remain in unsafe buildings due to a lack of alternatives and insufficient shelter, further worsening humanitarian risks across the territory.
The Red Cross emphasized the urgent need to expand and sustain the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza to address immediate and medium-term needs, including food, shelter, essential supplies, and equipment to repair critical infrastructure severely damaged during the war.
It also highlighted the importance of allowing aid to enter without restrictions and ensuring its safe and rapid delivery to all areas of Gaza, in order to alleviate the suffering of the population amid deteriorating humanitarian conditions.[]
