Gaza, MINA – The Israeli occupation military carried out airstrikes and artillery shelling in multiple areas across the Gaza Strip on Friday, marking the third day of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, in what witnesses describe as the latest violation of the October 10 ceasefire agreement, Anadolu Agency reports.
According to local eyewitnesses, Israeli fighter jets conducted two strikes inside the “Yellow Line” area east of the Shujaiya and al-Tuffah neighborhoods in eastern Gaza City. The aerial attacks coincided with heavy gunfire directed from Israeli military vehicles toward homes and tents sheltering displaced populations in the Zeitoun neighborhood southeast of the city, accompanied by intermittent artillery shelling in the area.
In central Gaza, witnesses reported that Israeli forces carried out extensive demolition operations targeting buildings and facilities inside the “Yellow Line” east of the Bureij refugee camp. The demolitions followed hours of intense gunfire and bulldozing activities near the Abu Ataya roundabout in the vicinity.
The “Yellow Line” represents a temporary demarcation established under the ceasefire framework, separating areas of Israeli military deployment, comprising approximately 53 percent of Gaza’s territory in the eastern sector from western areas where Palestinian movement is permitted.

Heavy gunfire from Israeli military vehicles also targeted eastern areas of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, according to witness accounts. The specific targets of the strikes remain unknown, and it remains unclear whether the attacks resulted in Palestinian casualties.
Palestinians across Gaza are observing Ramadan this year against a backdrop of widespread destruction following a two-year Israeli military campaign. The offensive has left civilian infrastructure devastated and living conditions severely strained, despite the existing ceasefire arrangement.
Official Palestinian sources report that more than 72,000 people have been killed and over 171,000 others injured throughout the duration of the Israeli war, which has caused damage to approximately 90 percent of civilian infrastructure across the Gaza Strip.
The ongoing military aggression during the holy month have drawn condemnation from local observers who note that the ceasefire agreement, brokered after months of intensive international diplomacy, was intended to halt hostilities and facilitate humanitarian access to the besieged territory.

International humanitarian organizations have repeatedly called for all parties to respect ceasefire terms and ensure the protection of civilians, particularly during religious observances when civilian populations traditionally gather for prayers and community activities.
The latest violations raise concerns about the durability of the ceasefire arrangement and the prospects for longer-term stability in the region. Diplomatic sources indicate that international mediators continue to monitor the situation closely, though no official statements have been issued regarding Friday’s incidents.[]
