Gaza, 25 Safar 1437/7 December 2015 (MINA) – Israeli warplanes at dawn Monday fired two missiles into the al-Zaytoun neighborhood, to the south of the blockaded Gaza Strip, sparking panic among Palestinian women and children.

According to local sources, an Israeli F16 jet fired two rockets into a Hamas resistance site in al-Zaytoun neighborhood, resulting in remarkable material damage.

The Israeli occupation army claimed the strike was launched in response to earlier gunfire targeting military jeeps deployed near Gaza borders, which left no injuries among the Israelis.

Over recent weeks, the Israeli occupation army has escalated aggressions and arbitrary strikes on Palestinian cultivated lands in eastern Gaza Strip.(T/R04/R03)
