Tehran, MINA – Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) announced the launch of Wave 63 of Operation True Promise 4, predominantly targeting oil facilities linked to the United States in the region.

According to Al Mayadeen English on Wednesday, the latest launch was dedicated to “the brave soul of Intelligence Minister Esmail Khatib, and the martyrs of Iran’s intelligence establishment.”

In an official statement on Wednesday, the IRGC described the latest wave as a “turning point” in the course of the war, coming in response to attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure.

The IRGC declared in a complementary statement that “Iran had no intention of expanding the confrontation to oil installations” or harming the economies of neighboring and friendly countries. However, the attacks on its energy infrastructure compelled Tehran to escalate to a “new phase,” targeting facilities affiliated with the US and its shareholders.

The statement emphasized that Iranian forces acted swiftly in response to the aggression, setting ablaze several oil installations that serve US interests in a proportional response aimed at inflicting significant damage on enemy assets.

The IRGC also issued a warning to US and Israeli forces, stating that any further attacks on Iran’s energy infrastructure would trigger an even more severe retaliation, extending to allied targets until “complete destruction” is achieved.

Earlier today, Iran’s oil industry facilities at the South Pars field and in the Asaluyeh region were attacked by the United States and Israel. Iranian state TV reported that phases 3, 4, 5, and 6 of the South Pars gas field were struck, marking a significant hit to key energy infrastructure.

Israeli officials similarly said that they bombed Iran’s largest natural gas processing facility in Bushehr Province this morning, while Iranian reports say strikes hit South Pars and Asaluyeh, forcing several phases offline.

In response, Iran issued urgent evacuation warnings for civilians residing near major energy and petrochemical facilities across the Gulf region, including the SAMREF refinery in Saudi Arabia, the Al-Hosn gas field in the UAE, the Jubail petrochemical complex in Saudi Arabia (Chevron), the Mesaieed petrochemical complex in Qatar, and the Ras Laffan refinery in Qatar.

Iran’s state TV soon after announced the targeting of Qatar’s Ras Laffan industrial site with a missile salvo.

QatarEnergy confirmed that “emergency response teams were deployed immediately to contain the resulting fires, as extensive damage has been caused.”

The Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters reiterated that any American-Israeli attack on Iran’s fuel, gas, or economic infrastructure would trigger a direct and forceful response at the source of the aggression.

The headquarters emphasized that targeting infrastructure in the aggressor’s territory is a “legitimate right,” adding that any response would be swift and decisive.

The IRGC stressed that Iran had not initially sought to expand the confrontation into the energy sector or harm the economies of regional countries. However, it said that strikes on its vital infrastructure imposed a direct response, resulting in operations it described as “heavy and reciprocal.”

According to the statement, the attacks led to fires at oil facilities tied to US interests, signaling a shift in the scope of the confrontation.

The IRGC warned that any further targeting of Iranian infrastructure would be met with a more severe response, potentially reaching the level of “complete destruction of the energy facilities of adversaries and their allies.”[]
