Istanbul, MINA – Several Indonesian humanitarian organizations focused on Palestine, including the Aqsa Working Group (AWG), the Medical Emergency Rescue Committee (MER-C), and Mi’raj News Agency (MINA), conducted a visit to the office of the Worldwide Lawyers Association (WOLAS) in Istanbul on Sunday.

The visit aimed to initiate strategic cooperation in the field of international legal advocacy and protection related to Israeli crimes in Gaza, Palestine.

The delegation was received directly by WOLAS President Att. Enes Kafadar, accompanied by two legal advisers at the WOLAS office located in the Fatih district of Istanbul, Türkiye.

MINA correspondent Arief Rahman reported from Istanbul that during the meeting, AWG presidium member Rifa B. Arifin and MER-C Legal Representative Achmad Michdan consulted with the WOLAS President and his team regarding legal protection measures for the destruction of public facilities and social facilities in the Gaza Strip, including the Indonesia Hospital, which has repeatedly been targeted in attacks.

MINA News Agency also explored opportunities for cooperation in news coverage and publication to support WOLAS programs, particularly those related to international legal education and issues of civilian protection worldwide, especially in Palestine.

The WOLAS President warmly welcomed the visit and expressed hope that the collaboration will continue in concrete steps, particularly in strengthening international legal education and advocacy support for institutions focused on humanitarian issues and the protection of Palestinian civilians.

The meeting followed the Jerusalem Covenant Conference (IRADA), held on December 6–7 in Istanbul, which emphasized the importance of global Muslim consolidation in the struggle to defend Palestine through various sectors, including diplomacy and legal avenues.[]
