Mecca, 5 Rabi’ul Akhir 1436/26 January 2015 (MINA) – The chairman of Al-Fatah foundation, Yakhsyallah Mansur called for the importance of realizing the unity of Muslims.

“There are many efforts to restore the unity among Muslims. One of them is compassion towards fellow Muslims in order to maintain brotherhood,” he told Mi’raj Islamic News Agency (MINA)’s reporter in Mecca Friday night.

He said Muslims needed a pledge of allegiance bond in a leadership.

Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia officially announced Salman bin Abdul Aziz as the new king replacing Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz who passed away on last Friday (Jan. 23).

“Prince Salman bin Abdul Aziz received the pledge of allegiance as a king and servant of two glorious holy mosques (Al-Haram and Nabawi mosque),” said the statement.

Prince Salman received the job in the capital city of Saudi Arabia, Riyadh, on Friday night after five daily prayers.
