"TIME FOR PEOPLE OF QUR’ANIC CHARACTER" - THEME OF 2014 ISLAMIC BOOK FAIR

Jakarta, 2 Jumadil Awal 1435/3 March 2014 (MINA) – Indonesia’s largest Islamic books Exhibition, Islamic Book Fair (IBF) for the year 2014 set the theme “It Is Time For People of Qur’anic Character ” in launching and draw booth for book publishers or Islamic media who wish to participate .

The IBF launching and booth sortition for exhibition participants was implemented in the National Library on Thursday ( 26/9 ) in Jakarta .

IBF organized by the Indonesian Publishers Association ( IKAPI ) that has entered the 13th year will be held from February 28 to March 9, 2014 at the Bung Karno Sports Stadium, Senayan, Jakarta .

The theme “It Is Time For People of Character Qur’anic” was chosen in line with the needs of the Indonesian people to have the presence of people and leaders who rely on the values of the Qur’an .

According to the committee in their proposal, this Qur’anic character is the intellectual property heritage that previously had made the Muslim Ummah as noble nation, prosperous and superior civilization in the world.

The committee stated that from year to year, organizers strive endlessly to prepare the implementation of IBF better blend with the concept of travel, religion, education and entertainment.

Public demand for Islamic fashion , alternative medicine (thibbun Nabawi), Islamic financial services, spiritual tourism, education and means of support and a place of worship also adequate in this exhibition.

IBF Committee provides an area of over 10,000 square meters, over 375 fruit booth number. IBF is targeting 410,000 visitors throughout the exhibition.

A few weeks ago, musician and preacher Rhoma Irama, reminded Indonemsian Muslims of possible historical event such as occurred in Andalusia would happen in Indonesia.
Bang Haji, Rhoma Irama’s well-known nick name, said as it was known in Islamic history trajectory, in Andalusia, Spain, Muslims had triumphed over several centuries .

But Bang Haji also said that Muslims in Indonesia have not been able to establish the Islamic civilization. On the contrary, Islamic civilization is precisely formed by non – Muslim minorities. (T/P03/E01)
