INDONESIA MUSN'T BE DECEIVED BY MISS WORLD CONTEST

Jakarta, 10 Dzulqa’idah 1434/16 September 2013 ( MINA ) – Former member of Indonesian Parlianment, Permadi, in his speech against the contest of Miss World said that Muslims musn’t be deceived by Miss World organizers.

“Muslims musn’t be deceived by the organizers of Miss World. Miss World contest has its standards. They scored the contestants based on their body and bikini . If somebody says there will be no bikini contest, then it is clearly a lie, ” said Permadi , Saturday afternoon (14/9) in front of the Grand Hyatt Hotel, he urged to cancel the hotel reservation for the contestants of Miss World 2013.

Permadi who likes to wear black dress stated that government statement and the organizers who said that there will be no bikini contest is a fraud against the people of Indonesia and Muslims.

He also revealed that former President Soekarno taught us Trisakti, one of the conclusion is that we must have our personality and reject various miss events (miss world, miss asia, etc) .

Permadi statement was reinforced by Andi Nurhayati, former Franchise Holder of Miss World, Miss Universe, Miss Asia and Miss International from Indonesia.

In his letter to the Chairman of the Indonesian Ulema Council ( MUI ), Andi said that the contract (Official Entry) for participants of Miss World or International Beauty Queen election event, since the first time of establishment in 1951 is never changed .

Two of the standardized assessments in judging are; first, must have a good body, it is assessed using the swimsuit. Second, it must be supported with beauty of face (facial beauty), gentleness, charm, personality and behavior using a national costume and evening gown.

Nurhayati was the first time agency that designated in Indonesia from London as the Miss World franchise holder from 1976 to 1992 .( T/P05/E1) .
