Indonesia Condemns Israeli Attack on Gaza

Jakarta, MINA – The Indonesian government condemned Israeli military attack on the Gaza Strip. The attack caused at least 34 civilians, including women and children were killed.

“Indonesia has condemned Israeli attack from the beginning that targeting civilians in the Gaza Strip and Indonesia also called on all parties to de-escalate,” Indonesian Foreign Ministry, spokesman Teuku Faizasyah said on Sunday, November 17.

Indonesia calls on all parties to stop the use of force and move towards a ceasefire. “Attacks on civilians cannot be justified on any basis,” Teuku said.

He reiterated that Indonesia had never subsided in calling for a peaceful settlement of Palestinian issue based on a two-state solution with an internationally agreed border.

Since the beginning of this week, Israel has bombarded Gaza with air strikes. They want to crush the Palestinian resistance group there, namely Islamic Jihad. The Commander of Islamic Jihad Baha Al-Atta and his wife were killed in an Israeli attack. (T/Sj/P2)
