Gaza, MINA – Heavy rains flooded tents of displaced families in different areas of the Gaza Strip overnight and on Tuesday morning, intensifying their humanitarian plight, PIC reports.
Images and video footage showed multiple tents and personal belongings in Gaza damaged by rainwater.
Most of Gaza’s families currently live in makeshift tents, but they have become unsuitable to protect them from the harsh weather conditions.
Floodwaters swamped shelters in low-lying areas, while fierce gusts of wind tore up others, forcing families, including children, into the open in biting cold.

The civil defense service reported rescuing several families whose tents flooded in Khan Yunis’ al-Mawasi area, south of the Gaza Strip.
Since Monday, a low-pressure system has swept Palestine, bringing cold air masses and scattered showers across most areas.
Renewed heavy rains and severe cold are intensifying Gaza families’ humanitarian suffering, especially in the midst of ongoing Israeli aggression, blockade, massive destruction of homes and infrastructure, and absence of basic necessities.
