Germany Reiterates Support for “Two-State Solution”

Amman, MINA – German Defense Minister Annegret Kramp-Karrenbauer emphasized his country’s support for two-state solution, as the main solution for resolving Israeli and Palestinian conflict.

The statement was made by Kramp-Karrenbauer when he was meeting with Jordanian Foreign Minister, Ayman Safadi in Amman. At the meeting, he said the two-state solution was a good foundation for Palestine and Israel to live together.

Meanwhile, Safadi, as reported by Xinhua on Tuesday, August 20 praised Germany’s firm stance in supporting the two-state solution as the only way to end Palestinian-Israeli conflict.

Safadi, on the same occasion also expressed his gratitude to Kramp-Karrenbauer for his country’s commitment to support the UN Assistance and Employment Agency for Palestinian Refugees.

In addition Palestinian issue, both of them were reportedly involved in discussing Syrian issue. Where both stressed the need to increase efforts to achieve a political solution that maintains Syrian unity, restored security and allowed the return of refugees voluntarily. (T/Sj/P2)
