Gaza, MINA – Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported on Thursday that two Palestinians were killed and four others injured over the preceding 24 hours as a result of ongoing Israeli attacks, highlighting the fragile nature of the current ceasefire arrangement, PIC reports.
In its daily report, the ministry confirmed that all casualties from the latest incidents were transferred to hospitals across the Gaza Strip for treatment and documentation.
The figures add to mounting death tolls accumulated since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025. According to ministry statistics, a total of 611 people have been killed and 1,630 injured since the cessation of major hostilities was announced. Additionally, medical teams have recovered 726 bodies from various locations throughout the territory during this period.
The overall death toll from the Israeli military offensive since October 7, 2023, has now reached 72,069 confirmed fatalities, with 171,728 individuals injured, the ministry stated. These figures encompass the entire duration of the conflict, which began with Hamas’s cross-border attack and Israel’s subsequent military campaign in Gaza.

The ministry further noted that numerous victims remain trapped beneath rubble or lying in streets across the Strip, as ambulance and civil defense teams continue to face access limitations that prevent them from reaching all affected areas. The inability to recover all bodies has complicated efforts to establish a complete accounting of casualties.
The ongoing casualties reported by the ministry, despite the ceasefire framework established in October, underscore the persistent volatility in the region. Local observers note that while large-scale military operations have ceased, intermittent attacks and incidents continue to claim Palestinian lives.
The reported deaths bring renewed attention to the humanitarian situation in Gaza, where international agencies have warned of deteriorating conditions and insufficient resources to meet population needs. UNRWA, the primary UN agency operating in the territory, issued a separate warning on Thursday regarding escalating humanitarian needs that exceed available resources.
Medical facilities throughout Gaza continue to operate under severe strain, facing shortages of essential supplies, equipment, and fuel needed to maintain operations. The health system, already weakened by years of blockade and multiple conflicts, struggles to cope with both chronic healthcare needs and acute trauma cases from ongoing incidents.
