Gaza, MINA – The death toll from Israel’s genocidal war on the Gaza Strip, which began on October 7, 2023, has climbed to 72,082 martyrs, the Ministry of Health reported on Wednesday morning, as quoted by PIC.
In its latest update, the ministry confirmed that the number of wounded has also increased to 171,761 individuals since the start of the military offensive.
According to the daily report issued by the health ministry, hospitals across the Gaza Strip received nine bodies of civilians and treated four wounded people over the past 24-hour period.
Since the ceasefire agreement took effect on October 10, 2025, at least 618 Palestinians have been killed and 1,663 others injured, the ministry added, highlighting the continued toll despite the truce.

The updated figures come as Gaza enters the eighth day of Ramadan, with residents observing the holy month amid widespread destruction, ongoing displacement, and uncertainty over the durability of the current ceasefire arrangement.[]
