Paris, 220 Shawwal 1438/14 July 2017 (MINA) – France and Germany vowed on Thursday to develop a “new generation” of fighter jets that would take the place of their current fleets during talks between the leaders of both European countries.

President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel agreed that their countries “hope to finalise a joint roadmap by mid-2018,” KUNA reported, citing a French presidency statement.

They also agreed to resume cooperation on a ground combat system and the Eurodrone programme with Spain and Italy.
